Managing a LISTSERV mailing list by email command

Summary

LISTSERV is a mailing list system which a list owner can control via a web interface (UCC's LISTSERV is at http://lists.ucc.ie).

However, if web access is unavailable, lists may also be managed by sending commands in an email message. Send the commands to listserv@lists.ucc.ie as plain-text email (ie no HTML, no fonts, no formatting, no graphics, no quotes, no adverts, no signatures; just plain text). You must send the emails from the address that is registered as the list owner (this will be the same as the address you would use to log into the web interface).
