This project which has received funding from the Higher Education Authority through Documents of Ireland and Adult and Continuing Education, aims to establish a Research Centre of excellence and to further the integration of the regional and urban research activities of the Folklore and Ethnology section at University College Cork with those of the Northside Folklore Project, a pilot inner-city community employment scheme which Folklore and Ethnology at UCC sponsors along with FÁS.
