Biography:

Olive McCarthy BComm, MSc, PhD is a lecturer with the Department of Food Business and Development and a researcher with the Centre for Co-operative Studies, UCC. Research interests include organisation and management issues, stakeholder participation in co-operatives, and performance measurement. Her research has been conducted mainly into credit unions, community co-operatives and agricultural co-operatives, on which she has published widely. She is the academic co-ordinator on the Diploma in Credit Union Studies and the MBS in Co-operative and Social Enterprise in UCC.
