Postgraduate Teaching
I co-developed and have taught on the postgraduate module, Community-Based Participatory Research (PG6025), since 2015. This module provides postgraduate students with a grounding in the principles, politics and practices of community-based participatory research. In this experiential module, students work with a civil society partner to develop a research proposal consistent with participatory research approaches.I co-developed the Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice and Leadership in Higher Education and co-teach a module on Reflective Leadership Practices.
I am supervising one Doctoral student and a MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
Staff Development short courses
I co-developed and coordinate the ‘Connected Curriculum and You’ digital badge The purpose of this short course is to introduce participants to UCC’s Academic Strategy and provide a deep understanding of the Connected Curriculum and its application across all academic and professional service departments. I also co-developed the Learning and Teaching with the SDGs digital badge and the Fostering Academic Integrity in Learning and Teaching course and provided support for the new short course on Carbon Literacy. These courses are largely self-paced and are freely available to all UCC staff members.
