Biography:

Máire Herbert is a graduate of NUIG and the University of Cambridge. She has been a scholar at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, visiting fellow at Clare Hall, Cambridge, and visiting professor in the Dept of Celtic Languages and Literatures, Harvard University. She was recently appointed to the Placenames Commission of Ireland.
