The cross is in the middle and extends the full length of the shaft. The centre of the head of the cross has spiral-work.
The top arm has triangular interlaced work, and the left and right arms have interlaced work. The top of the shaft has circular-interlaced
work, and at the bottom of the shaft there is a piece of irregular plait-work.

On the left of the shaft in a vertical row there is - from the top - a beast with horns like a goat, a beast with its body
bent round spirally, and a sea-horse and a serpentine creature facing each other.

On the right of the shaft there is, at the top, a pair of sea-monsters with their bodies twisted together and interlaced,
and, at the bottom, an animal with horns and a tail ending in a beast's head, which is biting the neck of a serpentine creature
or reptile.
