GeneralDescription This is a close up view of the cross head of the cross named Muiredach's Cross at Monasterboice, Co. Louth. WEST FACE
West Just visible is the top of the centre of the cross head which depicts a crucifixion scene. Jesus' head is depicted held by two angels. the north arm of the cross head depicts (?)The Denial of Peter. See Harbison, 1992, p.145 for further discussion.
